Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 February 2026
1. Introduction
StrivMedia (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at strivmedia.au. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@strivmedia.au.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact form data - name, email address, enquiry type, and message content submitted via our contact form.
- Technical data (IP address) - your IP address is collected automatically when you submit the contact form, solely to enforce rate limiting and prevent abuse. This data is held in server process memory only and is never written to a database or disk. It is cleared whenever the server restarts.
- Analytics data (Google Analytics 4) - pages visited, session duration, device and browser type, approximate geographic location inferred from IP address, and referral source. This is collected via cookies and browser signals. We do not receive or store your raw IP address through GA4.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiries submitted via the contact form.
- Improve our website’s performance and user experience using aggregated analytics data.
- Prevent fraud and abuse by rate-limiting contact form submissions using your IP address.
We will not use your personal information for direct marketing purposes without your consent.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We disclose personal information to the following third-party service providers, some of whom are located overseas (APP 8 disclosure):
- Resend (United States) - we use Resend to deliver contact form submissions to our email inbox. Your name, email address, enquiry type, and message are transmitted to Resend’s servers for this purpose.
- Google LLC / Google Analytics (United States; servers globally) - we use Google Analytics 4 to analyse website traffic. Google may process analytics data on servers outside Australia.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States; global CDN) - our website is hosted on Cloudflare Workers and served via Cloudflare’s global edge network. Traffic data passes through Cloudflare infrastructure.
By submitting our contact form or using this website, you consent to your personal information being processed overseas by these providers under APP 8.2(a). We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your data in a manner consistent with the APPs, including relying on their published privacy policies and standard contractual protections.
5. Cookies and Tracking
Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies (including _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish users and aggregate usage data. These cookies do not identify you personally.
We honour browser Do Not Track signals where technically feasible. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Data Storage and Security
Contact form submissions are delivered via Resend and stored in our email system. IP rate-limit data exists only in server process memory and is not persisted. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data during transmission.
7. Data Retention
- Email enquiries - retained for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and for legitimate business purposes.
- Google Analytics 4 data - retained per Google’s default settings (approximately 2 months for user and event data signals; up to 14 months for event data).
- IP rate-limit data - held in process memory only; cleared on server restart (typically within minutes to hours).
8. Your Rights
Under the APPs, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us. To make a request, email us at contact@strivmedia.au. We will respond within 30 days.
To request deletion of your Google Analytics data, please use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or contact Google directly.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at contact@strivmedia.au so we can attempt to resolve your concern.
If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
